The real, modern thing

But enough about me. My friend Jon recently offered up this thoughtful post about his experiences in Africa last year reviewing business plans submitted for a Google.org contest:
When I was a kid growing up in Texas, there were plenty of mom and pop general stores or cafes whose signage was subsidized by Coca-Cola. Indeed, Coke could be found throughout the world, even in the most remote of places. But as I drove around Tanzania and Zanzibar, it wasn’t Coca-Cola, it was Celtel and Vodacom with their logos adorning the small shops.
