Based on the title alone, I'm rooting for It's True! Space Turns You Into Spaghetti*

The Royal Society, the UK's national academy of science, has announced its shortlist of books vying for the 2007 Junior Prize:
  • Can You Feel the Force? by Richard Hammond
  • How Nearly Everything Was Invented by The Brainwaves, illustrated by Lisa Swerling and Ralph Lazar, written by Jilly MacLeod
  • It's True! Space Turns You Into Spaghetti by Heather Catchpole and Vanessa Woods
  • KFK Natural Disasters by Andrew Langley
  • My Body Book by Mick Manning and Brita Granström
  • Science Investigations - Electricity by John Farndon
Adults picked the shortlist, but readers up to age 14 will pick the winner, to be announced May 15.

Thanks to my BBC-philic better half for tipping me off.

* Whereas the kidlitosphere turns you onto Chicken Spaghetti.
