50% of my children are paying attention? I'll take it!
"This is 2007, right?" 7-year-old S asked me the other day.
"Yep."
"Hey, that means this is the year your book comes out."
Well, it used to be, but things have changed, and I guess some small people in this house haven't been keeping up with the "About Me" portion of my blog. But I was delighted all the same to hear S ask about it.
Meanwhile, 3-year-old F has developed a hobby I can relate to: creating thematic reading lists. Bird books, books about libraries, books about Owen the hippo and Mzee the tortoise, and so forth. If you soon see a list here of books about the role of frogs in U.S. history, you'll know my source.
