A good day for sleeping in -- just not here

I didn't get far on my revisions this morning. I'd just hit my stride at about 6:10 a.m. -- scientific principles of light and color were getting themselves explained, and explained good -- when everybody woke up. And I do mean everybody: my six-year-old, my 19-month-old, my wife, two dogs and one bunny.

So, this morning at least, I read more William Steig aloud by 7 a.m. than most people do all day.
